Throes of Dawn

Yeah, actually I did not know what was going to await me and to be honest the evening in the northern finnish student pinhole was not that horrible than I expected. Ok, granted, the opening act, Sacred Crucifix was probably the worst and most hilarious metalcore band I’ve ever seen, and I saw a lot. Throes of Dawn however did quite well, even though they played a kinda dated Paradise Lost or even Himesque gloomy dark pop which was neither aggressive nor fast, but occasionally they hooked on quite deep and emotive parts where the more black metalish drops from this Trentemøller frontsinger were quite nice… do metalheads even use this word!? After all, it was not _that_ gay…
